# Proposal scope brief

Fill this in before you ask any generator for prose. Every blank you leave is a
blank the model will fill with something you did not promise on the call.

## The engagement

- Client and signer: [company, name, title]
- Outcome the client is buying: [one sentence, in their words]
- Why now / trigger: [event or deadline driving the work]
- Price validity: [this proposal expires on date]
- Currency, taxes, expenses: [terms]

## Deliverables

One row per deliverable. A deliverable is a countable thing you hand over, not
an activity.

- [Name] — quantity/unit: [ ] — format: [ ]
- [Name] — quantity/unit: [ ] — format: [ ]

## Explicitly out of scope

Name the work a reasonable client might assume is included and is not.

## Assumptions and dependencies

What must be true, mostly on the client's side, for the price to hold.

- Client supplies: [inputs] by [date]
- Named approver with authority to sign off: [name]
- Access required: [systems, accounts, environments] within [days]
- If an assumption fails: [schedule and price consequence]

## Acceptance criteria

Per deliverable, the test that ends the argument about "done".

- [Deliverable]: accepted when [objective, checkable condition]
- Review window: [n business days], after which the deliverable is deemed accepted
- Revision rounds included: [n] per deliverable

## Price

- Line items: [deliverable, role, rate, hours]
- Contingency: [% and what it covers]
- Payment schedule: [milestone → amount → tied to which acceptance]
- Rate for out-of-scope work: [amount per unit]

## Change process

- Any request outside the deliverables or against the exclusions gets a written
change note stating hours, price, and schedule impact.
- Work on that change starts only after written approval from the named approver.

## Rules for the generator

- Use only the facts in this brief. Do not invent scope, dates, prices, logos,
case studies, client names, or credentials.
- List anything ambiguous as an open question instead of resolving it.
- Never widen a deliverable with words like "ongoing", "as needed",
"and related support", or "full" unless this brief says so.
- Show the pricing as formulas over the line items, not a typed total.
