Three ways to make video in OpenCraft
Text to video
Describe a shot: who or what is in it, the setting, what moves, and how the camera behaves. This fits concept films, atmospheric scenes, and short creative clips.
Image to video
Start with an uploaded image or one you generated in OpenCraft. Specify the movement and what should remain stable. Check that the model accepts reference images; image-to-video is a separate capability.
Motion graphics
For animated titles, diagrams, and data-driven explainers, ask for motion graphics. OpenCraft can also render these as a video through its animation workflow. Generative footage and rendered graphics use different production paths and cost structures.
Give the clip one clear job
- Choose the shot. Keep the scene and action focused. Describe one camera move and the motion you want to see.
- Choose the model. Open the Video tab and compare supported inputs, duration, frame sizes, audio, and price.
- Set the output. Request the supported aspect ratio, resolution, and length. Name a source image when animating one.
- Generate, play, and download. Review the actual clip for continuity, unwanted motion, and changes to the subject before using the MP4.
Changing a generated clip usually means another generation. A short first pass makes it easier to judge the visual direction before producing more shots.
Know the model and the cost of the shot
The video-model directory and in-chat picker show published rates and capabilities. A per-second price is meaningful alongside its resolution, duration, and audio settings.
The generated result reports the model that actually ran and the clip’s cost. If your selected model cannot accept an image, OpenCraft may use a compatible fallback at no higher per-second rate and identify it in the result. Pick a compatible model yourself when you need a particular look.
Check consistency across the full clip. Generative models can alter product details and introduce unexpected motion; the first and last frames deserve the same review as the opening shot.
